Review: Krave Beauty – The Beet Shield Sunscreen

Review: Krave Beauty – The Beet Shield Sunscreen

My first Krave Beauty product…and Liah Yoo did not disappoint. Before we dive into the details of this sunscreen, I want to say that it virtually has no scent, no white cast, and it melts into your skin like a dream. Think of it as a moisturizer, but elevated with 50+ PA++++ SPF. It’s everything I could ever ask for in a bottle.
I’ve used the Beet Shield for a week now and it’s left me with nothing but positive thoughts.

Formulated with key ingredients, such as: beetroot extract, allantoin, and vitamin C, resveratrol, EGCG, this blend of ingredients will protect your skin, reduce inflammation, and brighten it over time.
Beetroot extract is is rich in antioxidants and will help prevent signs of aging, and aid in reducing pigmentation and blemishes.
Allantoin will aid in soothing your skin and help reduce any inflammation, also aiding in moisturizing sensitive skin.

How to use: As the last step in your skincare routine, apply a dime sized/ample amount all over your face and neck, in an upward motion.
Tip: Apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before stepping outside to ensure that your skin has effectively absorbed it.

This formula is gentle enough for all skin types, regardless of gender. It leaves no white cast and has no fragrance to it; gentle enough for sensitive skin types, too.

When first applied, there was a hint of the scent of sunscreen, I would descibe the scent as slightly medicinal, but the smell dissipated so quickly before I could really identify what it was.

The texture is so light and airy, as I massaged it into my skin, I felt my skin becoming moisturized and plump.

After it was fully absorbed into my skin, I could see that there was no white cast, no greasy feeling, and no tacky sunscreen feeling at all. The Beet Shield left me with a beautiful, pillowy, velvet canvas. Not to mention, this sunscreen can be used as a makeup primer or as a moisturizer alone.

I’m not a major fan of the packaging, I could do without the plastic wrapper it comes in. But, I absolutely love the twist cap it has for safety. It does make for a cute gift since it has the “To ____”, where you could write someone’s name on it.

Priced at $20.00 for 50 mL, the Beet Shield is a very good deal compared to many sunscreens that I’ve used.

Overall, the Beet Shield sunscreen is a dream come true. I’ve used up so many bottles of sunscreen, and this one, I can see myself coming back to. No scent, no white cast, feels like a moisturizer, I could go on. What more can you ask for in a sunscreen?

The Beet Shield is available for purchase at kravebeauty.com for $20.00. Their sunscreen is enough for me to try out their other products as well. Liah Yoo is an absolute skincare genius.

I was gifted this sunscreen in a goodie bag at an event in NYC. I am not sponsored by or affiliated with Krave Beauty. Thank you for reading & take care. – xoxo, Annie.
