Review: DEWYTREE Ultra Vitalizing Snail Essence Water
In the world of Korean Beauty, pretty much anything that involves a snail ingredient is a holy grail for me.
Snail mucin helps with a variety of concerns, like wrinkles, repairing skin damage, soothing irritated skin, and it can even fade acne scars. It’s an ingredient that’s suitable for all skin types, it can also be used on its own or mixed with other ingredients.
DEWYTREE’s Ultra Vitalizing Snail Essence Water is an essence that contains Snail Secretion Filtrate to hydrate and plump the skin. It also contains Chamomile and Aloe to soothe and soften irritated or red skin.
Thank you to Sokoglam for sending me this amazing essence! It’s been awhile since I’ve used something with snail mucin, so you can believe I was crazy excited to start using this.
I’m currently using this essence at night and the licorice essence in the morning! This snail essence is slightly thicker than the mist because of the snail mucin.
A few days ago when it was much colder, I used both in the morning and nights and layered them on instead. This helped with keeping my skin moisturized against the cold weather.
How to use: After cleansing and applying a toner, apply 1-2 pumps onto hands and pat gently into skin.
Ingredients: Water, Snail Secretion Filtrate(10.0%), Methylpropanediol, Propanediol, Glycerin, Trehalose, Pentylene Glycol, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenyl Trimethicone, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Tromethamine, Eyhyl-hexylglycerin, Adenosine, Xanthan Gum, 1,2-Hexanediol, Disodium EDTA, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Panthenol, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Dipropylene Glycol, Chamomilla Recutitia (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Phosphatidylcholine, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Prunus Serotina (Wild Cherry) Fruit Extract, Cornus Officinalis Fruit Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Copper Tripeptide-1, Ceramide NP, Glycine, Glutamic Acid, Serine, Lysine, Alanine, Arginine, Threonine, Proline, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance
Sokoglam sells it for $38. The bottle contains 5.07 oz/150 ml. This is about $8 per ounce. It comes in a thick plastic bottle with a pump for ease of use.
The essence is slightly thicker than a toner, it looks and applies clear. The texture is kind of like watery condensed milk. The scent is extremely light, it disappears almost instantly when rubbed in. It has a very light floral and cosmetic smell to it, but nothing overwhelming at all.
It’s an essence water so it’s a bit more watery than your usually essence, but it works just the same!
When I first applied it, it sank quickly into my skin and I felt my skin softening immediately. I’ve used this essence for about 5 days now and I’ve had no reaction or irritation to it! It’s giving my skin the hydration that it needs. This essence is fit for all skin types, even the most sensitive. I have oily skin and this has been working wonderfully for me; it doesn’t cause my skin to product excess oil or break me out.
Final thoughts: This essence is seriously perfect for anyone that wants to add an essence in their routine. It contains snail secretion to help with keeping your skin moisturized and it contains chamomile and aloe to soothe red, irritated skin. The snail secretion also combats against wrinkles too! It truly fits all skin types and will keep you glowing.
This is also the first time I’ve heard of Dewytree! Their collection contains all snail mucin, this makes me so excited to try more of their products.
