Two of My Favorites Combined – REVIEW: A'PIEU Coffee Milk Sheet Mask
The one thing I love almost as much as skincare is coffee! I mean, it's even in my blog name. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was finding out about these sheet masks! Coffee and skincare all in one? Sign me up!
First off, look at this packaging! How cute is it? This is one of the many things I love about Korean beauty, is the amount of time they put into packaging that is both cute and aesthetically pleasing.
Not only do the packaging draw me in, so did the ingredients. I absolutely love anything with coffee or coffee extract. It's one of my favorite ingredients! I purchased this on Sokoglam to fulfill free shipping, I was a bit hesitant at first because the mask contained mineral oil, but my skin reacted to it just fine. If you are allergic or know that mineral oil breaks you out, please refrain from buying this particular mask!
Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Mineral Oil, PEG-40 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Milk Extract, Adenosine, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Saccharomyces/Imperata Cylindrica Root Ferment Extract, Saccharomyces/Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Ferment Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Callus Culture Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance
Coffee extract helps make rough skin firm by restoring elasticity
Milk extract helps make the skin become moisturized by forming a strong moisture protective film over the skin
The fabric contains an abundance of essence in the air pockets that helps increase the skin's absorption of active ingredients and gently wraps the skin
This brand also DOES NOT test on animals!!
How To Use:
1. After cleansing, prep your skin with a toner (optional, I used Son & Park's Beauty Water toner!)
2. Unfold and spread the sheet mask evenly over the face and adjust the eye & nose area
3. Let your skin absorb the mask for about 15 to 20 minutes, then remove
4. Gently pat the remainder into your skin for maximum moisture
The mask smells faintly like coffee milk. It's not too strong, it smells a lot more natural than artificial. If you love the smells of espresso, you'll LOVE the smell of this mask!
The consistency is also very light, it's not sticky or heavy at all. The serum in this mask is slightly opaque and translucent looking. I recommend putting the mask in the fridge for a couple of minutes for a refreshing sheet mask.
I'm so glad this one fits my face perfectly! Majority of the time, they're just made way too big and the serum gets all in my eyes and nose. It's not a pleasant sight. In terms of size, this one checks off everything in my book!
Upon applying the mask, I had no bad reaction at all. There was no stinging or burning. I was surprised given how sensitive my skin is to everything, especially masks. This mask was wonderful and smelled so great. I made my skin so smooth and plump, giving it immediate hydration. I'm in love.
I purchased this sheet mask as a pack of 4 on Sokoglam for $10. If both coffee and sheet masks are your thing, you can purchase it here: A'PIEU Coffee Milk Sheet Mask
