The Hair Oil to End All Hair Oils – Review: Joon Persian Secrets Saffron Hair Elixir Oil

The Hair Oil to End All Hair Oils – Review: Joon Persian Secrets Saffron Hair Elixir Oil

Since I'm still raving over oils and hair care, I want to write about how much I LOVE Joon's Saffron Hair Elixir Oil!

I was first introduced to this product at Houston's Create & Cultivate event last year! A small bottle of the hair oil was included in a goodie bag given to all guests. When I first saw it, I was really fascinated by the color and the saffron in it (it didn't even know what saffron looked like before then), but it kind of turned me off because it was a hair oil.

I've never had a good experience with hair oils, due to them making my hair too greasy, sticky, or limp. THANK GOD I was gifted this bottle! It really changed my view on hair oils. Never have I ever found a hair oil smelling so good that actually WORKED. It detangled my hair like magic and kept it super soft and moisturizing.

The wonderful people over at Joon Hair Care sent me a 3.11 oz bottle and it looks and smells absolutely divine!

Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone, Cyclohexasiloxane, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3), Retinyl Palmitate, Rosa Centifolia (Rose) Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Vegetable Oil, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Pistacia Vera (Pistachio) Seed Oil, Crocus Sativus (Saffron) Flower, Fragrance (Perfume), CI 19140, CI 15850

"Persians have used Saffron, Pistachio and Rose in beauty rituals for centuries. Saffron, a spice worth more than its weight in gold, is used to strengthen hair. Pistachio touts fatty acids, proteins and vitamins that nourishes and moisturizes for bouncy and smooth hair. Adored in Persian poetry and art, Rose has long been used to make hair smooth and shiny. Using modern chemistry, these ingredients now combined give a potent boost to hair longevity. "

How To Use: Put a few drops into hands, rub together to evenly distribute product and then apply into hair length and ends. Works well on both damp and dry hair. Can be used before and after styling and also as an overnight treatment.

It is sulfate and paraben free. It's also safe for colored hair and protects it from heat, and this oil is also NOT tested on animals! :)

For easy application, it comes in a glass bottle with a glass dropper. You can place as many drops onto your hand depending on your hair length, rub evenly, and apply!

The consistency is thick, like any oil, but once applied onto your hair it's surprisingly light weight! It's really moisturizing for something that is so lightweight, it didn't weight down my hair at all.

Here is a before and after photo. The before photo (left) was taken right after I had showered and towel dried my hair. The after photo (right) was taken once I had massaged a few drops of the oil into my hair. It IMMEDIATELY detangled my hair in seconds.

Formulated with Rose, Pistachio, and Saffron, it smells like royalty. How I would describe is similar to a "spicy honey" scent. It smells very sweet and the saffron really comes through. It leaves your hair smelling amazing!

Look at how beautiful the saffron is!

I can't tell you enough about how much I love this hair oil. This oil is now considered one of my Holy Grail items that I'll be purchasing again. I don't think I've ever had a good experience with a hair oil until now.

I've finished their smaller bottle before, and I'm so thankful for this new one. I don't know how I'm ever going to live without this oil now! I've written a review last year on their website that you can find here. Although I was kindly gifted this bottle, my opinion on it still stands from when I first saw it. It's truly an amazing hair oil that everyone should have!

You can purchase it here.

Thank you for reading & take care! ♡ - Annie
