Moisturizers for ALL Skin Types this Winter

Moisturizers for ALL Skin Types this Winter

I hope you’re having a great holiday season this winter! But more importantly, are you moisturized? This dry air and lack of moisture is driving my skin crazy! One way to prevent this is layering on a thick moisturizer before bed and in the morning. This will prevent dry, flaky skin.

This guide will help you choose your perfect winter moisturizer no matter what skin type you have. (Also, many of these brands are having a Black Friday sale!)

Oily or Sensitive Skin

Glossier: Priming Moisturizer – $22
This is my tried and true lightweight moisturizer. Finishing up my 2nd bottle as we speak with a 3rd bottle on the way. It works wonders as a makeup primer too! Apply it on before you leave or underneath your makeup to keep your skin from drying out.

Drunk Elephant: Protini Polypeptide Cream – $68
It’s more watery than your average moisturizer, which makes it great for oily skin. Lightweight, but it sinks deep into your skin.

Laneige: Water Bank Hydrating Gel – $35
A gel, which is lighter than a cream, but it’ll still feel luxurious on your face. It’s non-oily, so it’s perfect for people with oily skin.

Missha: Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Cream – $27
It contains snail extract which will give you intense moisture without being overbearing and clogging your pores.

Normal or Combination Skin

Youth to the People: Superfood Air-Whip Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Cream – $48
I love this moisturizer SO much because it contains my favorite ingredient: hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid pulls moisture from the air, giving you hydrated skin all day long. It also has kale, spinach, and green tea that’ll moisturize your face without breaking you out.

Sunday Riley: Tidal Brightening Water Enzyme Cream – $22-65
This is more of a luxurious cream, but any product that Sunday Riley releases, it really does what it says. It balances out skin texture while brightening and giving you the moisture that your skin needs.

Laneige: Water Bank Moisture Cream – $35
It’s like the Water Bank Gel cream above, but cooler and more hydrating. It’s perfect if you want a good moisturizer for this winter with a bit more oomph.

Dry Skin

Drunk Elephant: Lala Retro Whipped Cream – $60
This is hands down the best cream DE has ever released. On days when my skin looks and feel extremely dull, this cream makes me feel like royalty. This moisturizer is worth the splurge. It’s thick and moisturizing, but doesn’t leave a greasy feeling whatsoever.

Glossier: Priming Moisturizer Rich – $35
It has very similar components to their original priming moisturizer, but it’s much thicker. It’s a solid cream for dry skin.

Youth to the People: Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream – $58
This is also another cream that is worth the splurge. It has such a nice, cooling effect that really calms down my acne. It feels thick, but light enough to penetrate deep into your skin, giving you moisture for the whole day.

SUPER Dry Skin

When creams just can’t save you, you turn to oils. And no, oils do not make your face oiler.

Drunk Elephant: Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil – $40-72
This oil has a special place in my heart due to it being my first facial oil. I have oily skin and this has honestly saved it! I have nothing but good things to say about this oil. For intense moisture, mix this oil into your moisturizer for soft, supple, hydrated skin.

Youth to the People: Superberry Hydrate and Glow Oil – $44
This is lighter than the marula oil, but it still gives you a similar effect. It definitely will make you glow like no other. I’ve used this before flying to prevent dry skin from the stale and recycled air on planes.

Neogen: White Truffle Serum in Oil Drop – $35
The fact that this has white truffle extract in it makes me feel so regal and elegant. It’s beautifully lightweight as an oil and can be perfect for all skin types.

Biossance: Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil – $72
Not only does is this oil extremely hydrating, it will visibly brighten your skin with vitamin C! This is a great oil all around because it’ll smooth out fine lines, moisturize, and overall brighten your skin tone.

Your skin will need more moisture during the winter months! Don’t ignore it. Take care of it and it’ll love you for years to come.
