Review: Banila Co. Clean It Zero

Review: Banila Co. Clean It Zero

Hello everyone! I want to start off that I don't think I've had such a pleasant first impression before. This cleanser I'm reviewing felt like magic on my skin. Super soft, yet gentle. This little jar is on the way of sitting in my holy grail cabinet!

Behold! The coveted Banila Co. Clean It Zero oil cleanser. This cleanser is so soft and gentle, I might opt for this jar is my main makeup remover/cleanser instead.

What it is: The Clean It Zero cleanser is an oil based balm that melts on your skin to gently remove the toughest, waterproof/smudge proof makeup.

Ingredients: Mineral oil, cetyl ethylhexanoate, peg-20 glyceryl triisostearate, peg-10 isostearate, polyethylene, butylene glycol, water, rubus suavissimus (raspberry) leaf extract, bambusa arundinacea stem extract, aspalathus linearis leaf extract, viscum album (mistletoe) leaf extract, angelica polymorpha sinesis root extract, carica papaya (papaya) fruit extract, malpighia glabra (acerola) fruit extract, epilobium angustifolium leaf extract, bht, butylparaben, ci 16255, ci 15985, fragrance

Inside the box has the cleanser in a plastic jar and the instructions and scoop packaged in a small plastic bag. The jar weighs 100 ml.

When opened, it didn't have a smell, it was almost odorless. The look and texture feels almost like petroleum jelly. It'll melt on your skin though! It will feel more oily and thinner once rubbed into your face.

In the small plastic packaging, it'll have a lid and scoop that fit easily onto the top on the jar.

Now onto the fun part!

"This sorbet-like lightweight cleansing balm instantly removes even tenacious makeup while gentle exfoliator papaya extract breaks down dead skin cells for a glowing complexion."

1. Use the spatula to take a reasonable amount of the balm
2. Gently massage the formula in circular motions onto dry skin
3. Wash off with water or use tissues to wipe off.
! While washing with water, dip your fingertips in warm water and massage for a more squeaky-clean result.
! No extra makeup removal needed for lip & eye makeup.

When scooped, it looks really crystal-like. I scooped it out of the jar, placed onto my fingers, then onto my face. I'm sure I used more than needed, I used about 3-4 scoops of it! Once done with the spatula, please remember to wash it to prevent bacteria from spreading!

Just to show you how amazing this cleanser is, here is my face with the amount of makeup I normally apply. BB cream, eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyebrow powder, liquid lipstick, etc. Everything you can think of!

I'm sure I used so much more than needed. I'll use less next time! One scoop is all you need, really.

This was my face literally 30 seconds into rubbing it in. I look like I ran a marathon in my makeup! But, look how quick it melted into my skin and removed my waterproof eyeliner and liquid lipstick. I cannot stress how awesome this cleanser is. It was so gentle on my face and there was no odor or any burning feeling on my skin.

My face after a wash with lukewarm water. I love how water soluble this cleanser is! It left absolutely zero oily residue or greasiness. Literally ALL of my makeup is gone!

If you want a little bit more of a deep cleansing, I recommend using your normal foaming cleanser/physical exfoliator after to wash out any deep impurities that your makeup may have left behind. But as I stated this is such a great and effective oil cleanser for removing makeup. It contains papaya extract and it left my face looking so soft and bright!

I highly recommend this oil cleanser if you are looking for something gentle and effective to remove stubborn makeup! It is currently on sale on Soko Glam for $16! Use my referral code for $10 on Soko Glam! This will definitely be a repurchase once I finish it! If you have sensitive skin and would like something even more gentle, Banila Co. also has a Clean It Zero: Purity oil cleanser as well!
